Almond bread

Almond bread
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180C. Grease and line a loaf tin.

  2. Step 2

    Using electric beaters, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually, until dissolved.

  3. Step 3

    Fold in sifted flour and almonds. Turn out mixture into the greased and lined loaf tin.

  4. Step 4

    Bake for 30 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Remove and allow to cool, then slice loaf into thin slices.

  6. Step 6

    To serve, toast slices on a baking sheet in the oven until golden.
