  1. Step 1

    Combine barbecue sauce, tomato sauce, mustard, sugar and garlic in a small bowl. Place ribs in a large, shallow glass or ceramic dish. Add sauce mixture. Turn to coat. Cover. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight, if time permits.

  2. Step 2

    Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Place ribs in a greased baking dish, reserving any remaining marinade. Bake for 1 hour, basting with reserved marinade halfway through cooking, or until glazed and cooked through.

  3. Step 3

    Cut ribs into pieces. Serve.

Aussie-style ribs are also sold as American-style ribs.

Serves 8 as part of a kids' party.
